Dr. Dante Pierre Galiber is a cardiologist who practices on St. Croix, US Virgin Islands, and is Director of Cardiology at the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital. He is married to Yvonne Ashley and they have a daughter, Dominique Ashley, a 2019 graduate of Temple University. A native Crucian, Dr. Galiber was born on November 26, 1963. He was the 1982 valedictorian at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal High School on St. Croix, an early admissions student, a Barnett Frank Award recipient at the University of the Virgin Islands, National Merit Scholarship Finalist, and a magna cum laude Howard University graduate. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and an honorary member of Golden Key International Honour Society. Galiber completed medical school and internal medicine training at Indiana University and an invasive cardiology fellowship at the University of Kansas. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and nuclear cardiology. He is a Major in the Virgin Islands Army National Guard and an avid tennis player.
